Smalti Pizza Quarter - M104

Original Italian Smalti made by the famous Dona of Spilimbergo. 

As the molten glass comes into contact with the solid surface it is poured onto, crystallisation occurs rapidly and certain minerals and oxides are drawn to the contact surface resulting in unpredictable reactions. This is seen as an added attribute, not as a flaw. 

• Original Italian Smalti
• 1/4 pizza
• +/- 450-550g
• 6-7mm thick
• UV & frost resistant
• Cut using nippers, hammer and Hardie or glass scorer
• Displays a variety of colours, textures and reflectivity on each side
• May be left ungrouted if the indirect method is used. 
• The cut side is traditionally displayed but all sides may be utilised to create contrasting and harmonising surfaces.
