This charming 3D gecko is made from sheet metal and is lightweight and easy to mosaic. It comes ready for mounting on a wall or fencing. For best results use tiles of 2.5 cm or smaller. As this base is suitable for outdoor use it is best to use tiles and glue that are also frost and UV-resistant.

What I wanted

Ordered this and a frog base (for presents for my sons). Am pleased with the products but not with Hobby Island. I'm sure the prices went up by a couple of pounds each after I'd put them in my basket and then the only post option was Express Delivery at £7.99, which I didn't need and wouldn't have chosen i there'd been a choice - they certainly weren't over 2 kg in weight! I went ahead and ordered because they were exactly what I wanted and they seemed to be selling quite quickly so I didn't want to miss them - I couldn't find them anywhere else. I've raised the p&p with Hobby Island who said they were investigating but I've not heard back.
