Bought base only

Kit out of stock so just bought base. We have had lots of Swallows here I our new home so I thought it appropriate! Seems fine - I will add it to a cheap 40cm metal side table as a (50cm) top, (hopefully remembering to leave gaps for screws!)
I bought the dragonfly and compass bases too. Might use one outside but will need several coats of yacht varnish before mosaicing I believe.

The best shop for mosaics

I have been purchasing from Hobby Island for a few years now, however I now live in Cyprus, so it is not so easy. I am visiting my family in August, including our two Grandchildren, and wanted to do mosaics with them whilst on holiday. I have bought two Owl kits to do with them, but will keep the Swallow for when I return, I look forward to sharing the lovely hobby, and thank you for such lovely ideas. Maureen Gage
